The Southeast Community Center at 1550 Evans is a Bayview–Hunter’s Point community hub to gather, learn, play, and grow. The dynamic new center consists of two buildings with a canopied breezeway between them. The three-story, LEED Gold Certified main building includes ground floor lobby, café, and childcare center, second-floor multi-purpose rooms for workshops, conferences, classes, and special events and third-floor office space for community-based organizations. The standalone Alex Pitcher Room serves as the primary event space for the new center and features an amphitheater, projector, and commercial kitchen.

The site is lush with outdoor amenities community members can experience at the new center. Amenities include an outdoor amphitheater, sports lawn, play spaces, and dining areas throughout the garden pathways, including a barbecue pit and large swinging benches.
