Zev Yaroslavsky Family Support Center celebrated its Grand Opening
On Thursday October 8th, Zev Yaroslavsky Family Support Center (formerly known as San Fernando Valley Family Support Center) celebrated its Grand Opening. Prominent leaders within County of Los Angeles delivered dedication speeches, thanking the project team, and described its vision to provide a one-stop service for the surrounding communities. This type of facility is the first of its kind, wherein it will house seven County departments ranging from Child Services, Family Services, Health Services and Probationary Services. A special recognition was given to Senior Superintendent Frank Woodman for delivering an incident-free and safe project for the community, and achieving a Local Worker Hiring Goal of 48%. This LEED Gold Certified project was delivered on-time and under-budget.
