Ribbon Cutting Marks Completion of the Alameda Food Bank Expansion

Pankow Builders recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of the Alameda Food Bank Expansion, a project that provides an invaluable service to Alameda County residents.

This meaningful effort involved the renovation of an existing 10,000 SF pre-engineered metal building and construction of a new 11,000 SF facility, significantly expanding the Food Bank’s capacity to support families across Alameda County. The project incorporated deep soil foundations, design-build MEPS systems, and upgraded utility services to ensure long-term durability and efficiency.

We are proud to partner with srmErnst, MBH Architects, and many talented consultants and trade partners to bring this project to life.

Wally Naylor, Project Executive, shared:

“We gained a deep appreciation for the vital service the Alameda Food Bank provides while working alongside their team through the design and construction of their new facility. They are truly an amazing group of people.”

This project is a powerful reminder of what it means to build for people and strengthen the communities we call home.
