600 San Pedro Receives 2026 DBIA Western Pacific Region Award of Excellence

We’re proud to share that 600 San Pedro has received a 2026 DBIA Western Pacific Region Award of Excellence for Small Business Engagement and Growth in Design-Build.

Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row, 600 San Pedro was developed to address one of the city’s most urgent challenges: chronic homelessness. Created through a partnership between Weingart Center Association and Related California, the project provides 298 permanent supportive housing units along with comprehensive on-site services designed to help residents build stability, independence, and opportunity.

The 17-story development includes a career center, library, fitness center, laundry facilities, community gathering spaces, three open-air sky decks, and supportive services that help residents thrive. From the beginning, the vision was to create more than housing—it was to create a place of dignity, hope, and belonging.

Delivered through a collaborative design-build partnership between Pankow and LARGE Architecture, the project demonstrates how integrated teams can deliver meaningful community impact while creating opportunities for small business participation, workforce development, and long-term economic growth.

We are honored to receive this recognition from DBIA Western Pacific Region and grateful to Weingart Center Association, Related California, LARGE Architecture, our consultants, trade partners, and the many individuals who helped bring this transformative project to life.

Congratulations to the entire team on this well-deserved achievement!
