Pankow Breaks Ground on ACFD Fire Station 25
CASTRO VALLEY, CA – Pankow Builders, in partnership with the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) and BRW Architects, is pleased to announce the official groundbreaking of Fire Station 25.
Delivered through a collaborative design-build approach, the new 14,000 SF facility represents the latest in fire station design and construction innovation. By integrating design and construction from the start, the team can maximize efficiency and ensure this critical facility meets the department's precise operational needs. Replacing the previous station, the new Fire Station 25 will continue its historical legacy in Castro Valley, serving as the backbone of the Alameda County Fire Department. The facility will include three apparatus bays, advanced decontamination rooms, a fitness center, a kitchen, and dedicated living and office suites for the Battalion Chief.

During construction, Pankow has also implemented an interim fire station to ensure that fire and emergency services remain fully operational.
Construction is expected to continue through early 2027.
