As Vice President of Risk Management, Marc leads the company’s enterprise risk strategy with a collaborative, forward-looking approach. His work supports smart, risk-informed decision-making throughout every phase of project development and delivery.

Since joining Pankow Builders more than two decades ago, Marc has helped shape the company’s risk mitigation efforts across contract negotiation, insurance management, claims oversight, and regulatory compliance. His leadership ensures that risk management is not just a process, but a strategic advantage.

Marc holds dual master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and Construction Engineering from École Spéciale des Travaux Publics in Paris. He is a LEED® Accredited Professional, a DBIA Designated Design-Build Professional™, and a licensed General Engineering Contractor. He also serves on the Board of the Design-Build Institute of America’s Western Pacific Region and chairs its Education Committee.

Fun Facts

On weekends, I love cycling through the hills and around the lakes of West Marin County.

A surprisingly satisfying hidden talent: organizing my 8-year-old’s Lego collection. Turns out, being able to find the exact piece really does spark joy.

I believe risk isn’t the enemy, it’s how you manage it that defines success.

One chapter of my life took place in Berlin, where I interned with a construction company and learned what it means to build across cultures.

At the top of my bucket list: hiking every national park in New Zealand, one trail at a time.
