Pankow Warriors Participated in the Annual Skechers Pier-To-Pier Friendship Walk

On Sunday, October 26, SoCal’s Pankow Warriors and their family and friends participated in the annual Skechers Pier-to-Pier Friendship Walk. The 3-mile roundtrip walk started in Manhattan Beach heading toward Hermosa Beach, with the finish line back in Manhattan Beach. A special thanks to Elton Murakami, who has been involved with the walk for the past three years and invited other Pankow Warriors to join him and his family this year as a great way to end off the 2014 Fitness Challenge. With a total of 11,000 walkers, everyone joined in on the camaraderie, health and wellness aspect, beautiful morning at the beach – and overall fun and friendship!

The Pankow Warriors’ goal was to raise $500, and raised $375. During the overall event, the organization raised $1.1 million dollars. If you’d like to learn more or to donate to this worthy cause, click here.
