Habitat volunteer day at the Chestnut Home Project in Glendale

On 11/7/15, our group of SoCal Pankow friends and family participated in another Habitat volunteer day at the Chestnut Home Project in Glendale. The goal of the day was to get as much insulation installed as possible in Unit #3 in preparation for their Green and final wall closure inspections prior to drywall. Our group and the other volunteers split into smaller teams to install the wall and ceiling insulation throughout each level of the 3-story house. We weren't able to get the whole house insulated in one day, but we made a really good dent in the task. The project as a whole is moving into the final phase of finish work (scaffolding is currently erected on all 3 houses for the siding installation), and there is a planned completion by end of February for the families to move in.
