Overview
Retail renovation included heavy structural modifications and a new rotunda tower element that serves as a Waikiki centerpiece. Work also included foundation work below the water table and improvements to the vertical transportation with the addition of five escalators and one elevator.
Intricate barricading sequences along with shift work and low impact construction techniques allowed for continuous operation of shops and restaurants in adjacent and underlying spaces of the shopping center.
