Integrated Project Delivery
Pankow is experienced in every form of construction project delivery, from traditional design-bid-build to highly collaborative, but at our heart and in our practice – every project gains value through integrated project team delivery.
The highest form of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) methodology creates a partnership of Owner, Design and Builder to share the risks inherent in the design and construction process. It also has the potential of incentivizing positive behavior for the entire project team.
Since we see increasing interest from both our public and private clients for increased levels of collaboration, we will be happy to share with you our experience in IPD methodology, including that currently being used by Sutter Health through an Integrated Form of Agreement (IFOA) approach – and how it can be customized to your unique needs. Hopefully, this will help you plot your own place along the Collaboration Continuum©.

Lean Integrated Project Delivery (LIPD)
IPD combines Lean Principles with an Integrated Form of Agreement (IFOA). The IFOA creates a partnership between Owners, Designers and Constructors to share the risks inherent in the design and construction process. It is a value-based virtual organization aligned to the project that “integrates people, systems, business structures and practices into a process that collaboratively harnesses the talents and insights of all participants to optimize project results, increase value to the Owner, reduce waste and maximize efficiency through all phases of design, fabrication and construction.”
